I dislike Katherine Heigl with a passion. I don't know what it is about exactly that I can not stand. Maybe it's the way she seems to always have a slight smirk on her face like of course I'm an adored actress, it's my right. And I just want to beat her down, no, no it's not Katherine. You got lucky and you should be grateful for it and if you dislike so much how women are portrayed in romantic comedy's then don't make them -simple. But don't go bad mouthing those who do or the people who are nice enough to put you in their movies.
I guess she is just doing it for the cash, but a real actress would never sell herself short just for money would they Katherine? It kinda makes you a prostitute aye. A romantic comedy movie making prostitute.

I think you have a few issues to work through. The fact you are a teacher makes this rant more worrying. I hope my children never cross your path.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! A teacher who values hard work and ethical ambition instead of jumping on the 'reward and hail all "successful"* people regardless of how they achieve their status, or what they do with the subsequent power' bandwagon.
ReplyDeleteTeenagers of today would benefit from increased awareness of role models above the calibre of modern celebrities. Athletes, musicians, authors, directors, architects, designers, and so on, are just as deserving of recognition and credit in our society.
I expect the the writer of the original post translates this philosophy to the classroom, and focuses on teaching students the value of hard work, ethics and independent thought. i would be happy to have such a person teach my children.
I fear for the future if teachers are expected to teach students to worship "successful"* people only.
* "successful" of course, is measured by exposure in lame magazines and shows on MTV.
I'm with Penny, Katherine Heigl is hot! We should all love her and lynch anyone who doesn't. Katherine has great tits, and that is what really matters, right?! Phwoar!
